INSPIRE Business Awards 2016 - Oh What A Night!

Branding & Design

With hair perfectly pinned, nails painted and glad-rags on, The Typeface Group team couldn’t wait to celebrate yet another year at the Inspire Business Awards 2016.

With previous fabulous ceremonies under our belt, we were excited to attend another year holding the title of ‘New Business of the Year category’ sponsor (which we won in 2014). As well as our second year as the official social media partner! This year we took along some special guests; Jane Condliff from The PA Pod, Graham Thompson from OI Business Solutions, Jan Baker from The Frame and Mark Lloyd from Property Mastery Academy.

What are The INSPIRE Business Awards?

For those that are not aware, the Inspire Business Awards celebrate the success of local businesses in North Hampshire. The awards are open to those from across the region. From Basingstoke, Fleet and Aldershot, to Odiham and Yateley. Inspire ensures leading local businesses (both large and small) gain the recognition they deserve for themselves and most importantly for the dedication and commitment of their staff.

This year’s awards ceremony took place at the Hampshire Court Hotel, Basingstoke on Thursday 10th November. The venue this year gave the sense of grandeur and space; Beautifully decorated with giant balloons from Bubblegum Balloons 2015 winner of New Business of the Year.

And The Winner Of New Business Of The Year Is…

On behalf of TFG, we would like to say huge congratulations to all this year’s finalists and winners. Especially to Hartletts Café, who were the well-deserved winner in such a competitive category. Polly Buckland, our MD, presented the award; Along with Micheal Buerk, patron of Challengers, and Felicity Edwards of Destination Basingstoke.

Polly comments “It’s events like this that make us proud to work in such a vibrant business community. Sponsoring and judging a category has been a new experience for me; challenging because of the quality of applicants within our category and rewarding from a business perspective for the new contacts we have made through networking on awards night.”

Many Thanks…

A huge bravo goes out to Destination Basingstoke for putting on another great event. INSPIRE 16 was an evening of entertainment. Including fabulous dancers, mouth-watering food, inspiring speeches, networking, selfies, tweeting, cheering and plenty of smiles all round.

Here’s to next year. We look forward to seeing what INSPIRE 17 will hold!
