What a year 2017 has been!
Here at The Typeface Group, we have had so much to celebrate. It’s been 365 days of hard work, which has been rewarded with business successes for our clients, welcoming new companies into the Typeface Group family and growing our own team too.
Sitting with Jane was a highlight for us this year. We were chosen to look after the event social media for a fabulous regional fundraising initiative, which was run by Destination Basingstoke. A Jane Austen themed public art trail, consisting of 24 BookBenches, wove through Basingstoke, Alton and Winchester. Each BookBench had been individually designed to celebrate the author’s life. The BookBenches were auctioned for the Ark Cancer Centre Charity – an organisation close to our hearts. It raised a whopping £80,000 which will go towards the £5 million needed for a local NHS cancer treatment centre. A commemorative book charting the Sitting with Jane adventure is out now for £10 via http://bookbench.org/.
TFG DID THE DOUBLE
Earlier this year, TFG became partners of the Hampshire FA. After a successful commercial partnership, we became media partner to lead and support their visual communications. We provided headshots, in-action photography during matches and on-brand stock imagery. This supported their brand image and representation across their digital communications, PR and marketing. We are proud to have been chosen to share our expertise to help the team to become a well-known and easily recognisable regional FA. This will also help to grow their presence at a national level.
Jude will kill us for using this header but we had to get it out of our system (we think the phrase is #SorryNotSorry). In October, Team TFG welcomed Jude as our Senior Communications Executive to work alongside Shannon. Our clients LOVE her many styles of writing, thanks to the many hats she has worn in the past. Find out more about Jude here.
VOTE FOR US (today is the last chance!)
Earlier this year, we were thrilled to have been finalists for a prestigious UK Blog Award for our in-house blog about all things marketing. Although we didn’t win, we learned a lot – so much so that we threw our hat back in the ring for the second year. We are currently in the running once again and the public voting is now open.
And so this is Christmas….
We are all off to take a well-deserved festive break with our loved ones of all ages. Our Christmas breaks will involve good food, Christmas classic films from Elf to It’s A Wonderful Life, and fresh winter walks.
The office will be from 22nd December until the 2nd January 2018.
We would like to thank everyone for whatever part they have played in The Typeface Group journey this year. We’re so proud of what we have achieved and we couldn’t have done it without you. Next year looks to be full of exciting opportunities for us and the lovely companies we support – stay tuned for all of the latest news.
From all of us here at The Typeface Group, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
